The sad demise of the great tabla legend Banaras Gharana Pundit Kishan Maharaj is a great loss to the Rhythm world. The AllaRakha family who had a very close and respectful relationship with the great maestro were saddened by the shocking news of his demise. Our heartfelt Namaskar to this king of Banaras Gharana, there will be no other like him. Farewell!
Ustad AllaRakha and Pundit Kishan Maharaj were two great giants and Legends of Tabla in India’s history of music. They had a professional healthy rivalry and loving relationship with each other, they respected each other greatly.
